Gene was born and raised in sunny South Africa and is a second-generation real estate agent. She has lived and worked in London, Dana Point, Chicago and Durban, South Africa and is happy to call Pasadena, CA home. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Media and Communications from South Africa’s University of Natal.

Gene has worked in marketing for over 10 years in the pharmaceutical and investment banking industries. After completing her Pilates teacher training, Gene’s affinity to healthy living led her to ownership and teaching at her own Pilates studio in Chicago. She has a diploma in photography and brings a keen eye for aesthetics and design.

Gene chose to pursue a career in real estate after rehabbing two homes with her husband in Chicago, IL. After that experience she was hooked on real estate. Gene is an outgoing and friendly person who is attentive to detail. Her unwavering professionalism and ability to understand context and process has proven to serve her clients successfully.

Gene supports her local church community and volunteers in ministry. She loves to make a difference in project based initiatives that help vulnerable individuals in third world countries. She is also an advocate for cancer research and prevention.

In her spare time, Gene can be found with her nose in a good book, visiting local coffee shops, dancing, lifting weights and hanging out with friends. She loves to make memories with her family by going to local trails, the beach or traveling to other countries to experience new places and cultures.
