Here are two perfect spots for a "Winter Nature Walk" for the whole family, and also accessible with toddlers or young kids:

1. Big Dalton Canyon Trail: After the December rains, the creek is usually flowing! Kids love hopping over the little stream crossings. It’s flat, shaded by oaks, and feels like a true wilderness adventure just minutes from home.

2. South Hills Park (Dog Park Entrance): Take the lower fire road for an easy walk. Bring a pair of binoculars and see if the kids can spot hawks or even a deer.
