Pasadena Museum Free Days

One of the best perks of living in Glendora is our proximity to Pasadena—one of the cultural capitals of the world. If you’re looking to entertain the kids or soak in some art without breaking the bank, January 2026 offers several "Free Entry" opportunities that are well worth the short drive.

The "Free First Friday" Power Double (January 2, 2026) If you have kids and an appreciation for fine art, the first Friday of the month is your golden ticket.

  • Kidspace Children’s Museum: From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Kidspace offers free admission. This is a must for Glendora parents. The kids can explore the "Winter Frog" activities and outdoor climbing areas for free. Note: Reservations are required and usually release two weeks in advance!

  • The Norton Simon Museum: Just down the road, the Norton Simon opens its doors for free from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. It is one of the most prestigious private art collections in the world. Walking through the sculpture garden at twilight is a peaceful way to decompress after the holiday chaos.

Community Wednesdays at Pasadena Museum of History On the first Wednesday of the month, the Exhibition Galleries are free to those who live or work in neighboring communities (like Glendora!). It’s a great way to learn about the history of the valley we call home. Currently, they have an incredible exhibit on the "Sacred Craft of Gold" that runs through February.

A Note on the Huntington Library: While the Huntington is a local favorite, please note they are closed on January 1, 2026, and typically do not hold a Free Day in January due to the New Year holidays. Mark your calendars for their February release instead!

The Team Ibrahim Itinerary: Start with a late lunch in the Playhouse District, hit the museums in the afternoon, and be back in Glendora in time for dinner. High culture, zero cost.
