Staging Tips That Help Glendora Homes Sell Faster and For More
We tell our clients all the time: "The way you live in a home and the way you sell a home are two different things."
Staging is about allowing the buyer to mentally move in. In Glendora, where we have a mix of historic charm and mid-century cool, staging needs to strike the right note.
1. Define the Spaces
Many Glendora homes have open, somewhat undefined living areas. We use rugs and furniture placement to clearly say: "This is the dining area," and "This is the conversation pit." Don't leave it up to the buyer's imagination—show them.
2. The "Indoor-Outdoor" Connection
This is California! We open the curtains and, if weather permits, the sliding doors during open houses. We stage the patio with a cute bistro set. We want buyers to feel the flow between the living room and the backyard.
3. Neutralize but Don't Sterilize
We remove the family photo wall (sorry!), but we add warmth back in with textured throw pillows, a folded blanket on the sofa, and some greenery. We want "warm minimalism," not "hospital sterile."
4. The "Luxury" Touch
In the primary bathroom, we swap out used towels for fluffy, white, spa-style towels. We remove all the daily toiletries from the counter. It should look like a hotel.
